ABOUT US:

 

The Connecticut Selects started as an off-season organization for High School hockey players and has grown into an organization that offers hockey at all levels.

 

In 2011, The CT Selects, announced a partnership with the GD Alumni Group-sponsored New England Jr. Falcons hockey club.

The CT Selects have traditionally fielded teams from Mite thru U18 during the spring months. This new relationship will attract the best players and coaches to a program aimed at being the premier spring program in the Western New England area. The Selects will practice out of Enfield Twin Rinks in Enfield, CT. Note: the CT Selects will continue to offer strong U16 and U18 split-season teams in the fall.

Paul Dowe, President, CT Selects, had this to say about the new partnership, “It’s an exciting time for the CT Selects. This new relationship with a tradition-rich program like the Jr. Falcons will bring the Selects to a new level. Being able to work with the best coaches and players around will help us achieve our goal of being an elite spring program. I’m excited for the new opportunities that will present themselves and can’t wait to see our teams competing in the best spring tournaments the area has to offer.”

“The GD Alumni Group’s goal from the start has been to provide a place for the elite student-athlete to compete. With young athletes pursuing further development and opportunities, we felt it was important to expand our program. This new partnership with Paul Dowe and the CT Selects gives us an opportunity to do just that.” said Keith Hillebrecht, President and GM, GD Alumni Group.

The CT Selects have an exciting spring lineup in place, featuring tournaments in southern New England and Canada. In addition, the club’s practice schedule will be conducive to players competing in other sports.

 

Each team will play in 3 Tournaments over the Spring. There will be no hockey over the months of July and August.

 

FALL HOCKEY

The Midget teams will pick up again in the Fall. We are proud to announce that in the fall of 2011 we will be offering split season teams at both the Midget Minor (95,96) and Midget Major Levels (93,94).

 

We will operate as an Independent USA Hockey Organization and will not be affiliated to any league. This fall we plan to play 18-20 games at each level and participate in 1-2 Tournaments. The CT Selects will play the best Split Season Teams in CT and Western Mass.
